my five for this week…

  • pesto made by a yoga student and friend… extra delicious because it’s from her garden, her hands, her heart

  • walking along the canal path that parallels the potomac river… brunch afterwards with two of my three

  • sketching and painting… just small pieces… it feels really (really) good… I’d almost forgotten how much I love this

  • writing… meeting a deadline, (just) ahead of schedule… quiet music to accompany

  • being nervous about a new endeavor… witnessing how I can (sometimes) observe fear and remain detached, not buy into it
